When it comes to floor and room interface solutions, SVS easily has the "other guys" beat. The woofer and port are both front firing from a common baffle (a whopping one inch thick!). An internal CNC'd brace makes the large panels solid as a rock. The narrow profile and front firing design allows you to tuck your PB10-NSD into tight spaces, with only the power cord and input cable clearance as a consideration. Underneath, you'll find the PB10-NSD comes with threaded, removable, ultra-compliant synthetic rubber feet. And not just four as you might expect, but six to maximize stability and allow you to put this sub on any sort of surface. You can remove these costly fittings if you want to slide the PB10-NSD around a carpeted room to experiment with different locations; and either reinstall them when you're done or run without them, they are "blind" airtight fittings even when the feet are not used. Moving my equipment around.recently (someone has to dust back there) I was reminded of the downside of HDMI cables; although a convenient one cable solution HDMI cables do have a nasty tendency to just almost “fall out” of their receptacle. I've seen cables that can lock, requiring the attachment of a little device to your equipment, but now comes a cable that can significantly reduce HDMI “fall out” without any modification of your equipment: the PPC Locking HDMI Cable. Prices for these cables start at $48.99 for the 3 foot cable, go to $59.99 for the 6 foot cable, and end up at $72.99 for the 12 foot cable.

The cable touts being a Professional Grade Category 2 cable (340MHz) featuring 100 percent foil coverage with braided shielding to eliminate interference, and gold plated pins. The flexible jacket looks nice , and does flex as advertised .

The cable will handle all HDMI resolutions.

Performance

Since there's nothing like testing out a claim I got right to work, which was quick and easy (it took me longer to open the clamshell packaging than to install the cable). For installation the cable simply inserted into my HDMI slot on the back of my SA8300 box, a little tug moved the box without the cable pulling out. To remove the cable, I simply had to squeeze the cable where it's marked “Push,” I guess “Squeeze” is to big a word to fit on a cable. I then connected the cable to my Sony TV and gave a little tug, and the cable dislodged. Doing an A B comparison with my non-locking HDMI cable I noticed slightly more resistance with the PPC cable than with the non-locking cable. Continuing with my testing I plugged the PPC Cable into my Samsung Blu-ray player, and the video card dongle (MSI 260GT) from my computer, and in turn ran them all to my TV. The cable locked significantly on each of the other pieces of equipment, and the only way to release the cable was to Squeeze the Push marking. Having no equipment for signal testing of the cable, I had to rely on my eyes, and everything that passed via this cable looked great.

Conclusion

What we all want an HDMI cable to do is deliver the best possible signal, be unobtrusive, and not fall out; this the PPC Locking HDMI cable accomplishes with aplomb. I think this cable will be staying in my system, for all it does, for what it doesn't do (fall out), and for the fact that no one will complain about a lack of picture after I dust behind my equipment!

BASH® is a patented "High Efficiency Linear Amplifier" circuit topology that has taken the best of Class D and Class AB and created a new Class of its own. By combining a fast response power converter with a linear amplifier, BASH® is able to maintain both class AB sonic performance and class D efficiency.

BASH® can produce high power levels without cost penalties typically associated with conventional amplifier designs. A linear amplifier rated at 100 Watts should be able to deliver 20 Watts continuously. Front firing design with compliant floor fittings

When it comes to floor and room interface solutions, SVS easily has the "other guys" beat. The woofer and port are both front firing from a common baffle (a whopping one inch thick!). This arrangement allows you to tuck your PB10-ISD into tight spaces, with only the power cord and input cable clearance as a consideration. Underneath, you'll find the PB10-ISD comes with threaded, removable, ultra-compliant synthetic rubber feet. And not just four as you might expect, but six to maximise stability and allow you to put this sub on any sort of surface. You can remove these costly fittings if you want to slide the PB10-ISD around a carpeted room to experiment with different locations; and either refit them when you're done or run without them, they are "blind" airtight fittings even when the feet are not used. Simple, elegant, just the sort of features you expect from SVS.
