"With all the discussion about how HDMI plugs and jacks are not very robust, Best Deal Cables came up with a solution.
They put a connecting tab on the plug, which you can see on top of the plug in the photo below."

"Well, that's fine and dandy", you might say, "but my SSP doesn't have a slot for that tab."

Ah, but Best Deal Cables thought of that too. They include two little screws that have a tiny ball on the end.

What you do is remove the mounting screw above the HDMI jack that holds it in place . . .

. . . then you replace that screw with the ball screw that Best Deal supplies with the cable.
The tab will not only hold the plug in the jack, but it will stabilize it as well, from flexing. This will help to prevent damage to the HDMI jacks that has plagued many users, including yours truly.

Best Deal does not have a 50 footer, but they supplied their 10 meter cable which is almost 33 feet. It worked fine, although it is a bit stiffer than some of the other cables. However, what makes this cable special - besides the killer price - is the locking tab. Finally, manufacturers are starting to beef up the HDMI connector!

Just giving a heads up. We have to shut down the servers to check and probably replace one of our hard drives. We have been having problems lately and this may be cause of the problems.

They said they will shut us down at 1 AM EST. I don't know how long we will be down.

With all the bad news in the Economy Lately I was just wondering how all of the SPotties are?

On a personal note, I have been spending most of my time lately protecting my Estate Planning Clients that I have not been able to spend as much time on here with all of my friends.

Two new Sonance UV-resistant outdoor rock-like speakers, the RK83 and RK63 are engineered for new enthusiasts who like hearing their music outdoors from speakers that blend into the environment. The SoundHenge Redux is an enclosure created exclusively for the Sonance Mariner outdoor speakers. The finish options of Granite or Brown will weather the demands of outdoor life for years to come.

The Sonance SoundHenge Redux weather-resistant enclosure replicates a moderate-size boulder (18x14x13-inches) and is available in Granite or Sandstone to match local geology or individual taste. The enclosures accept any Sonance Mariner 50 or Mariner 60 range of rugged weather-resistant loudspeaker, a stereo-pair, or single stereo speaker configuration. The Mariner enclosure is fully contained within the SoundHenge Redux enclosure, which is formed and textured to blend into the background in backyards, pool areas, or wherever serious outdoor sound is required.

The RK63 Rock speaker is a 6.5-inch 2-way, roughly 10x11x14 inches and is rated for 100W maximum power handling; the 8-inch 2-way RK83 Rock speaker measures roughly 14x15x18 inches and is rated for 150W maximum.
